Our SoHo Hosting package will cost £50.00 per annum (plus VAT) and our Business Professional Hosting package will cost just £110.00 per annum (plus VAT).

When you order your domain from our Hosting section, complete the details as usual and enter IMSLSALE at the end of the registration process and before you make payment and £25.00 will be deducted from the bill. Register each domain separately because the discount applies to the transaction - one transaction - one discount.

In addition, IMSL has also added another Content Management System, Drupal, to its portfolio of hosted software at no additional cost to current or new customers. As ever, we strive to give the the maximum choice of solutions built right into the hosting package without your needing to buy further software. FROM NOVEMBER 2007, IMSL INCLUDES VIRUS SCANS ON YOUR EMAIL BEFORE THEY COME TO YOU.

We are pretty sure that you will have anti-virus software installed on your computer system and rightly so too but it adds reassurance for you to know that emails have been scanned for viruses before they arrive in your inbox and not just after they are in your computer system.

Even more reassuring is the fact that our virus definitions are updated several times a day to ensure that we are as up-to-date as we can be.

FROM OCTOBER 2007, IMSL HAS ADDED osCOMMERCE TO ITS BASIC/SOHO HOSTING PACKAGE.

We are delighted to announce that we have now added osCommerce to our Basic SoHo hosting package meaning that all of our users can benefit from having access to one of the most powerful eCommerce packages in existence.

At the time of writing osCommerce claims almost 13,000 live sites and over 150,000 community members.

Previously only available to our Business Professional customers and because of the commercial needs of our smaller customers we have made this exceptionally powerful package available to all our customers.

FROM SEPTEMBER 2007, IMSL HAS QUADRUPLED THE AVAILABLE STORAGE FOR WEB MAIL USERS.

We are pleased to announce that we have increased Webmail storage from 250MB to 1GB with immediate effect:-

• Enjoy 1 GB Storage (was 250 MB)
• Access your email from anywhere in the world
• Help keep spam away with advanced spam filtering

The benefit to you is that you can bring down your email onto your desktop client and leave a copy on our mail servers for a few weeks and access the same mail remotely using the browser-based Webmail application. Your email client can be configured to remove the mail from the mail server say 14 or 28 days after it has been downloaded to the desktop client. Naturally you may also delete unwanted mail using Webmail.

This being the case you are now far less reliant on other browser-based email solutions and can bring the full power of your domain and Webmail into use.

In addition our Junk mail filter is used by many of you to great effect. However we have noticed that some customers redirect the mail to a mailbox and then never download that email. The problem with this is that as soon as the junk mail box is full your junk mail filter will stop working.

We have now added a new feature so that you can choose automatically to  delete mail that is classified as spam rather than storing it in a mailbox. To choose this option login to your Control Panel, go to "Email Configuration" and then click "Junk Mail Filters". Please be aware that there is a possibility of deleting "false positives" so you will need to make a value judgement between the benefit and the risks.

FROM JULY 2007, IMSL HAS ADDED ONLINE WEB HOSTING PACKAGES TO IT'S PORTFOLIO OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.

IMSL has added online hosting to anybody who may want web hosting. As ever, IMSL has simplified the process by offering a very straightforward process to make the job as easy as possible for novice users but with facilities that will be welcomed by the most discerning of users.

IMSL enable you to elect to select from the main domain types (.com, .org, .net, .info, .biz, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk) combined with either the Basic SoHo Hosting Package (at just £75.00 per annum plus VAT) or the Professional Hosting Package (at just £135.00 per annum plus VAT).

By default, you will purchase and pay for one year of hosting. As and when hosting packages are improved you will receive the benefits at no additional cost (.co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk may be leased for up to 2 years, the others for up to ten years).

FROM APRIL 2007, IMSL HAS DRAMATICALLY ENHANCED ITS WEBMAIL FACILITY.

A big thank you to all our customers who have requested new features and upgrades to our Webmail service, we know that our Webmail system is critical to many of you and we have been working on a major upgrade for some time. Thanks to you, our Webmail service is better than ever!

The new Webmail is even easier to use, is faster to display messages and works in a wide range of web browsers with many advanced features. Some of the great new features include:

• New Folder Support. Our updated Webmail system allows you to create as many folders as you need to easily store and organize your mail. You can store up to 100 MB of mail in your folders.
• Enhanced Calendar. This handy feature allows you to manage appointments (tasks) on a quarterly, annual, or daily basis.
• Outlook-to-Webmail Sync. Microsoft Outlook can be synchronized with your Webmail account so that contacts and scheduler data can be shared between a desktop and Webmail client. If a user adds a new appointment (task) or contact while using Outlook or Webmail, the data will be automatically synchronised between the applications.
• Enhanced Address Book. Webmail's enhanced address book functionality allows you to import and export contacts from/to CSV (comma separated values) file format. You can also sync your Webmail account with your existing address books.
• Spell Checker. Spell check your email before sending it using the built in spell checker with a new and updated language database.
• Mailbox Sorting & Searching. Messages contained in your Inbox can be sorted by subject, date, or email address. You can search your mailbox for keywords, allowing quick and easy access to your stored email.
• Rich HTML Messages. Create eye-catching emails using different fonts and colours or by embedding pictures and sounds. Why not add your company logo or a customized signature? You can easily attach files to your emails to send to friends, family or colleagues.
• Email Filters. Create rules to move specific messages or block unwanted senders altogether.

Along with the new features we have also implemented a new hardware platform for the Webmail system to operate on. This uses state-of-the-art hardware load balancers to distribute traffic to our cluster of Webmail servers. Your messages are centrally stored on giant disk arrays and backed up each day, first to another disk array and then to tape which is stored offsite.

To access Webmail simply click the Web Mail button on the left panel if you know your username and password or simply log into your Control Panel as usual and access Webmail from there.
